His Excellency, Governor Emeka Ihedioha, CON, declared open the South-East Logistics and Supply Chain Summit, held today at the Conference Hall of Protea Hotel, Owerri. 
The summit is an initiative of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, organized by the Coalition of South East Universities on Logistics and Supply Chain Management,
with the theme: Improving Operational Efficiency in Transportation Through Academic and Private Sector Partnership. 
At the event, Governor Emeka Ihedioha assured participants of his administration's commitment to providing quality infrastructure and enabling business environment, in order to enhance the movement, storage and flow of goods and services within the overall supply chain. 
The Governor also revealed that his administration has revived and strengthened the Imo State Investment Promotion Agency (ISIPA), which has the mandate for investment promotion and entrepreneurship development in the State.

BRIEFING FROM IMO STATE EXCO MEETING YESTERDAY DATED 6TH OF MAY 2020

Rising from the Executive council meeting, Hon commissioner for Information, Hon Declan Emelumba briefed newsmen on some of the decisions of the council. 1. Governor Hope Uzodimma is not indebted to any parastatal or agency that has conformed to government's directive on payment of salaries. The parastatals that are yet to receive their salaries have refused to submit their BVN and other details as requested by government. He noted that government will pay all parastatals that submits theirs as their money is safe in the banks. 2. Government expressed displeasure over the attitude of ASUU, IMSU chapter who instructed their members not to submit their BVN for the payment of salaries and warned that such an attitude will not be tolerated. 3. Exco also approved the renovation, remodeling and rehabilitation of the old governor's lodge and re-roofing of 10 blocks of the state secretariats. 4. Today, His Excellency, Governor Emeka Ihedioha made a visit to Oguta Lake Motel & Golf Resort on inspection.  Oguta Lake Motel & Golf Resort serves as a major relaxation and recreation center for the ancient and historical Oguta Lake.  The freshwater lake is the second largest natural lake in the country after lake Chad. The Oguta Lake river route also makes Oguta, Osemotor, Awo-omamma and surrounding towns important commercial centers for international trade, mainly for palm oil. The inspection is part of the efforts streamlined by the #RebuildImo government, in its bid to restore Imo State as a prime spot in tourism destinations in Nigeria, and indeed Africa.  The Governor was accompanied by his deputy, Hon.
